Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 20, 2026 (version 2026-10-20). This policy replaces our prior policy dated September 25, 2026.
What changed: We added details about advertising and measurement tools, reporting which ads lead to inquiries and purchases, and your advertising choices. We also clarified tracking-number calls and texts, how service providers handle text consent, server-side tagging and embedded content, and what guided land inquiries would collect if enabled.
For the last 27 years, Classic Country Land, LLC ("CCL," "we," "us") has built relationships with our customers on respect and integrity. This policy explains what information we collect on classiccountryland.com (the "Site"), how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
1. Information We Collect
Information you give us. Our inquiry and contact forms (contact, property inquiries, financing questions, referrals, newsletter and inventory alerts) collect your name, email address, phone number, ZIP code where asked, and your message. Guided land inquiries are disabled by default. If enabled, they would also collect your payment preference, monthly and down-payment budgets where applicable, intended land use, purchase timing, main concern, and contact and text-message permissions. Our live chat collects your first name and mobile number (both required), an optional email address, and the conversation itself. Closed chat conversations may be processed by an AI service provider to summarize them for our customer records. Our "email me the answer" search feature collects your email address and the question you asked. My Land accounts store your email address (verified by an emailed sign-in code or Google sign-in), your saved favorite properties, and your preferences. Job applications include the information you submit with them. E-check payments are processed by Payliance on its own secure pages. For card payments, you enter card details on the Site, where Authorize.Net's Accept.js sends them directly to Authorize.Net for tokenization. We receive the payment token and your name, email address, phone number, payment amount and contract or tract reference, and send them to Authorize.Net along with your IP address to process the payment. We store contact and transaction records and receipts, but not full card numbers or card security codes.
Information collected automatically. We use Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, along with our own first-party analytics, to understand how visitors use the Site (pages viewed, searches, and similar usage events); these use cookies and similar technologies. We also store approximate location (country and state/region), derived from IP addresses by our hosting platform, with our first-party analytics events. When you arrive from an ad or referral link, we record the source of your first visit and associate it with any inquiry you send. We use Sentry to capture technical errors so we can fix problems; error reports can include technical details about your browser and the page involved. We also collect and store IP addresses for rate limiting and abuse prevention. For inquiry and contact form submissions, job applications, and account sign-ins, we record the version of our Terms and Conditions in effect and a server timestamp, so both of us have a reliable record of what was agreed and when.
We also use Google Ads (including DoubleClick), Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram), and Microsoft Advertising to help with advertising and measurement. These tools collect cookies and similar identifiers, pages viewed, ad-click information when available, and device and browser information. Microsoft Clarity records on-page interactions, such as clicks and scrolling, for session recordings and heatmaps. CallRail displays a tracking phone number and records the source of a call. When you call or text a tracking number, we collect and store your phone number, the tracking number and the time in our systems; for calls, we also store direction, whether answered, duration and attribution. Our server-side Google Tag Manager endpoint at tracking.classiccountryland.com may relay measurement data to the advertising and measurement partners named in this policy. An advertising-measurement service at ccl-media-dash.vercel.app, hosted on Vercel, receives page URLs, a browser visitor identifier, and referral and ad-click information when available. When you submit an inquiry, this service may also receive the name, email address and phone number you provide, together with visit and referral information, for advertising measurement.
Information from our communications with you. If an email we send you cannot be delivered, we note that on your record so our team knows to reach you another way. Where enabled, we check whether a phone number you gave us is a mobile, landline, or internet line so we contact you the right way — a technical lookup, not a background check.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to respond to your inquiries and connect you with our sales team about properties you asked about; to manage your account, saved favorites, purchases, and payments; to send the communications you asked for — including text messages, only if you checked the box agreeing to receive them (message and data rates may apply; reply STOP to any text to opt out or HELP for help; consent to texts is never a condition of purchase); to send inventory alerts and our newsletter if you signed up (every email includes unsubscribe); to operate, secure, and improve the Site and measure our marketing; to show you relevant ads and measure which ads lead to inquiries and purchases; to summarize closed chat conversations for our customer records; and to keep records of the terms you agreed to.
3. Who We Share It With
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with: service providers who work for us — our customer-relationship system (where your inquiry is routed to a sales representative), our email delivery provider, our text-messaging provider, our payment processors (Payliance for e-check payments and Authorize.Net for card payments), our AI service providers for chat summaries, our analytics and error-monitoring providers, and our hosting providers, each receiving only what it needs to do its job for us; advertising and measurement partners, including Google Ads, Meta, Microsoft Advertising, Microsoft Clarity, CallRail, and the measurement service at ccl-media-dash.vercel.app, which receive information as described in §1, including inquiry details sent separately to the measurement service; embedded-content providers as described below; professional advisors and authorities where the law requires it or to protect our legal rights; and a successor business if CCL is ever sold or reorganized — your records would transfer with the business under this same policy.
When you load embedded maps, videos or tours, your browser may contact third-party providers directly, including Google Maps, YouTube (through youtube-nocookie.com), Vimeo, and library hosts such as cdnjs and unpkg where external libraries are loaded. These providers receive your IP address and browser/request information under their own privacy policies.
When a sale or inquiry came from an ad, we may tell that advertising platform using the ad-click identifier it assigned and the event's value, without sending your name, email address or phone number in that report.
Separately, Meta Pixel's automatic matching can send Meta a scrambled (hashed) form of your email address, and other details such as your name, city, state and ZIP code, from forms you fill in, to help match your visit to a Meta account and measure advertising. It does not send your phone number.
We do not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers or text-messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging opt-in data and consent are excluded from sharing with advertising and measurement partners and are not sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. We share this data only with our text-messaging, customer-relationship and email service providers that process it on our behalf to record your choices and deliver the messages you asked for.
4. Cookies and Your Choices
The Site uses cookies for sign-in sessions, guest card payments, remembering your saved favorites, marketing attribution, analytics, and advertising. Your browser lets you block or delete cookies; the Site works without them except for signing in and making guest card payments. Third-party analytics can be limited with standard tools such as the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
You can manage personalized advertising through Google Ad Settings, Meta ad preferences, and participating companies' tools from the Network Advertising Initiative and the Digital Advertising Alliance. These choices apply to participating companies and may depend on your browser or device; they do not block every tag or stop all ads. Advertising tags can still load when your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track.
5. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your state, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to opt out of certain uses. To exercise any of these, contact us at sales@classiccountryland.com or 972-649-6200 with your name and the email or phone number you used with us. We will verify your request and respond within the time your state's law requires. We will never treat you differently for exercising a privacy right.
The advertising practices described above may be considered "sharing" or "targeted advertising" under your state's privacy law. To request an opt-out of sharing for targeted advertising, email or call us using the contact details above. You can also use the advertising choices in §4.
6. Children
The Site is for adults. Consistent with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and our properties are not offered for purchase by minors. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
7. Security and Retention
We use industry-standard safeguards, all information you enter is encrypted in transmission, and full card numbers and card security codes are handled by Authorize.Net rather than stored by us. We do store payment contact details, transaction records and receipts. We keep inquiry and transaction records as long as we have a business or legal need for them — records connected to a land purchase are kept for the life of the contract and as required afterward.
8. How You Agree to This Policy, and Changes
This policy applies when you use the Site, and our forms and sign-ins point to it next to the submit button — the same clear-notice approach our Terms and Conditions use. When we change this policy, the effective date and version above change with it, and material changes will be flagged on this page. Your continued use after a change means the new version applies.
